Since 2020, the Pura brand has been a consistent partner of the Human Milk Bank, a project affiliated with the Lucrécia Paim Maternity Hospital and coordinated by Dr. Elisa Gaspar. With a monthly donation of 3,000 liters of water – equivalent to 6,000 units of Água Pura – the brand has significantly contributed to the sustainability and operation of this vital initiative for neonatal health in Angola.
The Human Milk Bank was established six years ago with the goal of providing adequate nutrition to premature newborns, orphans, or babies whose mothers are unable to breastfeed for various reasons. To date, the initiative has benefited more than 4,000 babies, providing them with the essential nutritional support for healthy development.
The regular donation of human milk is the core pillar of the project, which carries out ongoing awareness and collection campaigns in civil society, encouraging breastfeeding mothers to donate this precious liquid. Água Pura has been present at these events, supporting both the logistics of the campaigns and the well-being of the mothers and professionals involved.
“Pura’s support has been essential. Hydration is an important part of the milk donation process, and having a brand that understands this importance is a major asset,” highlights Dr. Elisa Gaspar.
Through this commitment, Pura reinforces its social mission of promoting health and well-being, by supporting initiatives that positively impact the lives of thousands of Angolan children.
