Tigra Beer brings the Tigra Nova Garra Awards to the next edition of “HanormaisXChange”, between February 10 and 12, where the judges will interview the pre-selected candidates for this year’s edition. The pre-selection process will begin one week before “HanormaisXChange”, with an online registration.
Luanda, February 7, 2023 – Getting closer to the Angolan youth, the Tigra Nova Garra Awards are already preparing for their third edition, with the grand gala scheduled for early June.
During the three days of the HanormaisXChange initiative, a project sponsored by Tigra, the panel of judges will meet and interview young candidates who stand out during the pre-selection process.
To ensure they don’t miss the opportunity to become the “stars” of the Tigra Nova Garra Awards 2023, interested young people should stay alert to the social media channels of the judges in each category and the Tigra page, where a link to the online pre-registration form will be made available in the week leading up to the HanormaisXChange event.
Once the applications are analyzed, selected youth will be invited to present their projects directly to the judges. The interviews will take place during HanormaisXChange at Belas Shopping, in Talatona.
A significant new addition this year is the Education category, alongside the previously awarded categories: Environment, Health, Science & Technology & Digital World, Sports, Music, and Arts.
“The Tigra Nova Garra Awards have gained increasing prominence, and the young people who have won in previous editions have not only seen their lives transformed by the visibility these awards bring but have also become an inspiration to many others. We receive messages through social media from young people who don’t know how to apply. In fact, there is no formal application process—the nomination work is exclusive to the panel of judges,” commented Gaspar Cabral, Alcoholic Beverages Category Manager at Refriango, during the presentation of HanormaisXChange.
“We saw HanormaisXChange as an opportunity for young people to present their projects directly to the judges, as a way to create greater interaction between the candidates and the world of the Tigra Nova Garra Awards,” he added. “I also encourage everyone to stay tuned to the social media and Tigra page, where additional information on how to participate in this year’s edition will be shared.”
As in previous years, the young people selected for the final stage will be voted on by the public and the judges, a process that will determine the winner in each category, to be announced at the grand gala of the third edition of the Tigra Nova Garra Awards. Each winner will receive 1 million kwanzas, as well as personalized support to develop their projects and training at the Tigra Cubs Bootcamps.
The Tigra Nova Garra Awards were created in 2021 to recognize and elevate the national youth talent that makes a difference in essential areas for the development of the country and the well-being of Angolan society. This initiative reaffirms Tigra’s mission to support the lives of young Angolans and foster their personal and professional development.
